The purpose of PRISM© is to provide a comprehensive, yet ultimately simplified, model for educational systems to integrate, align, and guide their efforts to create whole-child and healing-centered educational learning environments.
Flourish Learning Group has developed PRISM© to support initiatives already on your school campus by growing them with integration and sustainability.
The components of PRISM© are built upon decades of research that demonstrate that relationships, the ability to regulate, and safe learning environments that encompass connectedness and belonging create the ideal environment for students to learn, educational staff to thrive, and systems to flourish. PRISM© weaves the foundations of neurobiology and equity throughout evidence-based frameworks of support to create a solid, integrated base of proactive support that not only spans multiple tiers of support, but also addresses the needs and input of the entire educational community.
As educational institutions look toward improving and integrating their whole child systems of support, Implementation Science is a core component to implementing the PRISM(C) Framework.
The University of Washington defines Implementation Science as "Implementation science is the scientific study of methods and strategies that facilitate the uptake of evidence-based practice and research into regular use by practitioners and policymakers. The field of implementation science seeks to systematically close the gap between what we know and what we do (often referred to as the know-do gap) by identifying and addressing the barriers that slow or halt the uptake of proven health interventions and evidence based practices."
